Equity Focus

Equity Focus accounts hold between 80% and 100% of the account assets in stocks. We research and buy shares in small, medium, and large-sized companies that meet our criteria. Investments may also be made in other publicly-traded securities that offer the potential for compelling returns relative to equities, such as bonds, closed-end funds and real estate investment trusts.

Equity Focus accounts pursue long-term gains and current income by investing in businesses that are favorably valued and are expected to earn attractive returns on invested capital. Emphasis is given to stocks that distribute capital to shareholders via dividends or opportunistic share repurchases.

Balanced

Balanced accounts are managed to produce long-term gains and current income with
lower volatility than equity only accounts. The mix between stocks and bonds is determined by the
investment committee’s perception of the relative value among asset classes.

The equity allocation generally makes up between 50 and 75% of the total account value, and is
invested in small, medium, and large-sized companies. Emphasis is given to stocks that distribute
capital to shareholders via dividends or opportunistic share repurchases. The equity exposure is
balanced by a 20 to 40% weighting in a mix of government/agency bonds, corporate bonds,
municipal bonds and other publicly-traded income-producing securities.
